Behind the Showdown

Born from a love of immersive, community-driven experiences, the Shaaloani Showdown is a Western-themed festival designed to bring players together in celebration of the social side of FFXIV. What began as a vision inspired by the Shaaloani zone quickly grew into a high-energy annual tradition, uniting roleplayers and non-roleplayers alike in one unforgettable event. With multiple moving parts, vibrant participation, and a welcoming atmosphere, the Showdown continues to grow each year—building new traditions and giving the community something exciting to look forward to.

The Smol Frontier

I’m an event-focused RPer who’s passionate about bringing roleplay back into the open world of Final Fantasy XIV. Instead of hosting the same venue-based parties every weekend, I design immersive, themed events set in already-established in-game zones—encouraging players to reconnect with the environment and truly sync into the world around them. In 2022, what began as four friends simply enjoying being small characters grew into Chiisai Smol, a thriving community built on connection, creativity, and heart. Starting with intimate gatherings and expanding into large-scale events, my goal has always been to create memorable experiences, earn respect within the broader RP community, and foster lasting friendships along the way.

None of this would be possible without the incredible community that comes together to make it happen. From our performers, artists, vendors, staff, and partners, and to every single person who shows up to take part in the fun, thank you for helping bring the Shaaloani Showdown to life. Your support, creativity, and energy are what turn this idea into something truly special each year, and I’m so grateful to share it with all of you.
